Hey guys. Wallpaper for the week this week is a photo of the Louvre pyramids in Paris, France. No doubt the most recognizable pyramids after the ones in Egypt. This place is so popular with tourists as a sight to behold, that in 2011 the Louvre became the most visited museum in the world according to the Telegraph. That year only, the museum attracted 8.8 million visitors, two thirds of them from outside France. I thought that was a really cool thing. Me, I was there for the architecture. I love the pyramids and how they let light right through them and reflect the city lights on the water and how the sun sets and paints the sky purple and red and many other colors right behind the pyramids.
You all know that Kenya Airways, the pride of Africa had sent me to Paris on a journey of discovery on the new Dreamliner to shoot and share images on their Instagram account,@officialkenyaairways and share more with you guys. I have so many photos to share that I have to do it systematically and today I shall show you some of the photos I took around the Louvre. Because of the many visitors here, there is always something interesting going on. People taking photos, kissing, you get the picture.
For the pure of soul and photography purists, this photo is not an exact representation of the Louvre. I mirrored it horizontally so that I keep it minimal. And because I do love mirroring architecture to get that cool symmetry. I love symmetry too much guys.
If you like the wallpaper, you can download it [for free] from the links above and below this post or via the “Wallpaper Monday” App for Android.
And now, more, much more photos of the streets around the Louvre. From dusk to night time.
That’s all for today guys. I hope you enjoyed the post from around the Louvre. I also hope you get bit by the charm of Paris like I did. If you like it, you could leave a comment, or not. God bless you guys.
