Timescape – Cityscape of Nairobi [Upperhill]

Have you ever wondered how it looks like when it rains in Nairobi? A while back I had access to take some photos of Nairobi from one of our cities’ rooftops thanks to the ever present help of Vinnie O (special thanks man). I took the opportunity to shoot a long shot of Upperhill using a 100mm macro lens and fixed the camera in one place to shoot a time-lapse. While I haven’t finished putting together the time-lapse, I thought i’d share the interesting nature of the photos captured as time moved from the same spot.

The coolest thing that may have happened was that it rained a lot while I was up on the roof, but it rained just a little out of town and I was happy about that too as I had many cameras on that roof. I did manage to catch the rain in my shots moving from left to right in the photos. Notice the effect of the changes and what it does to the photos. I thought that was cool enough to share.
